Sleep is not often considered a superpower, in fact being sleep deprived is often seen as a badge of honour in the corporate world. Sleep has AMAZING benefits for our body, mind and soul and it is something we can tap into to harness our Mental Wealth. But where do you even start with your sleep routine, what are your sleep habits, and how do you create good sleep hygiene factors?
I come across many coaching clients who are struggling with anxious thoughts, fatigue, and elements of imposter phenomenon. When we get back to basics and ask them to start to strip back their wellbeing habits, sleep is a habit which is often being squeezed, pushed to the side and exchanged for longer hours to try and maximise productivity (often this is a myth and counterproductive).
My aim is to give you a greater understanding of the background to sleep, how our stress levels impact our sleep, and even our own social jet-lag from the weekends! With your own workbook, including a sleep diary, you will join me on this chapter to gain a deeper dive into how your sleep is working for you and practical tools to takeaway as to how to slowly improve your sleep to harness as it as a superpower.
This is the second instalment of the six ‘My Mental Wealth™’ chapters and I look forward to standing by your side as you begin your own investment into boosting your Mental Wealth.
